Welcome to Viraj Institute of Medical Science — a private paramedical and physiotherapy college in Patna, Bihar.
We train the lab technicians, OT technicians, radiology technicians and physiotherapists who keep hospitals, diagnostic labs and operation theatres running. That work is not glamorous and it is rarely in the headlines, but no hospital functions without it. Our job is to make sure the people doing it are properly prepared.

What we set out to do
A qualification is only worth what it lets a graduate do on their first day at work. So we build our courses around the skills hospitals and diagnostic centres actually hire for, teach them on real equipment, and finish every programme with a supervised hospital internship. Students leave having already worked in a clinical setting, not only studied one.
We offer both full-time study on our Agamkuan campus and a flexible mode for people already employed in healthcare who want to qualify without leaving their job. The qualification is the same either way, conferred by a UGC-recognised university.
What I expect of our students
Knowledge is worth little unless it is put to use. A technician who understands why a test matters, who double-checks a reading, who treats an anxious patient with patience — that person changes outcomes. I would rather our graduates be known for that than for their marks.
Our placement cell works with hospitals, super-speciality centres and diagnostic chains across Patna and Bihar, and several of our alumni have gone on to start laboratories and clinics of their own. That is the measure of this college I care about most.
An invitation
If you are deciding what to do after 12th Science, or you are already working in healthcare and want a qualification behind you, come and see the campus. Talk to our counsellors, ask hard questions about fees, placements and what the course involves. We would rather you arrive well informed than pleasantly surprised.
I look forward to welcoming you.
