Why VIMS

Why Choose VIMS

Six reasons families across Bihar choose VIMS for paramedical education.

Programme concludes with a final-year hospital internship at our partner hospital network. Students get hands-on clinical exposure before they graduate.

UGC-approved & NSQF-aligned

Both regulatory stamps appear on your certificate. Your degree is recognised at the National Skills Qualifications Framework level.

Direct Admission

No entrance exam, no coaching requirement, no months-long waiting period. Admission decision is based on your 12th Standard performance, document verification, and a counsellor interaction.

Flexible Mode for Working Professionals

Healthcare workers can earn a UGC-recognised Bachelor's degree without leaving their job. Schedule designed to accommodate working hours.

Frequently Asked

Admission FAQs

Common questions about admission, fees, and the process. For programme-specific questions, see /programs/.

Is B.Voc a real Bachelor's degree, or just a diploma?
B.Voc is a regular three-year Bachelor's degree, awarded under UGC-recognised university authority. It is the same status as B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., B.Tech. The 2016 UGC directive specifically states that B.Voc shall be recognised at par with any Bachelor's degree for competitive examinations conducted by UPSC, SSC, State PSC, and the Staff Selection Commission. This includes Indian Railways, ESIC, CGHS, and most other government recruitment categories.
What if my documents are pending — what should I do?
Bring whatever originals you have along with a written application explaining the delay. Decisions are usually communicated within 48 hours of complete submission, and we work with you on reasonable extensions for missing documents.
Do I need to give an entrance exam?
No. VIMS uses direct admission based on 12th Standard performance, document verification, and a counsellor interaction at the campus. There is no separate entrance test.
Will my admission be confirmed on the same day I visit?
Most applicants receive a decision within 48 hours of submitting documents and the first-instalment payment. If your documents are complete and the counsellor interaction goes well, same-day confirmation is possible. If documents are pending, we communicate the timeline directly.
What is the language of instruction?
Lectures are conducted primarily in English with Hindi explanations where needed. Course materials and exam scripts include Hindi-medium options for clinical and laboratory subjects, with English where industry terminology requires it.
My family is from outside Patna — is hostel available?
VIMS does not operate its own hostel, but we maintain a list of trusted private hostels and PG accommodations within walking distance of the campus, with rents typically ranging from ₹5,000 to ₹10,000 per month including meals. Our admissions counsellor will share the list during your campus visit.
