Examination Committee

This Examination Committee’s primary role is to ensure fair and reliable assessment procedures, upholding academic standards and integrity during examinations. They oversee the entire examination process, from scheduling to result declaration, including planning, preparation, and conduct of examinations. The committee also addresses issues like academic misconduct and ensures the timely distribution of results and marks memos.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Planning and Preparation:

  • Schedule Preparation: Developing and announcing the examination schedule, including dates, times, and venues.
  • Question Paper Preparation: Ensuring question papers are prepared, printed, and secured well in advance.
  • Resource Management: Managing the allocation of examination halls, invigilation duty, and other necessary resources.
  • Seating Arrangement: Preparing seating arrangements to maintain fairness and security during examinations.
  • Pre-Exam Meetings: Holding pre-exam meetings to brief faculty members on examination procedures and guidelines.
  • Budget Preparation: Preparing and managing the budget for examination-related expenses.

Conduct of Examinations:

  • Invigilation: Ensuring proper invigilation during exams to maintain fairness and prevent cheating.
  • Monitoring the Examination: Monitoring the examination process to ensure smooth conduct and identify any issues.
  • Addressing Issues: Addressing any concerns or issues that arise during the examination.

Assessment and Result Management:

  • Question Paper Review: Reviewing question papers for content, clarity, and appropriateness.
  • Answer Script Collection: Collecting and managing answer scripts for proper evaluation.
  • Evaluation and Moderation: Overseeing the evaluation and moderation process to ensure consistency and accuracy.
